Bighorn Mountain Maine Coons is a family-run Maine Coon cattery dedicated to raising well-socialized, affectionate Maine Coon kittens in our home. We focus on temperament, health, and responsible placement for families seeking a well-raised Maine Coon kitten.

At Bighorn Mountain Maine Coons, our program is intentionally small and thoughtfully managed. Every decision we make — from pairing selections to placement timing — is guided by health, temperament, and long-term success rather than volume or speed.

Our kittens are raised in our home and introduced to everyday sights, sounds, and gentle handling from the very beginning. This approach allows each kitten to develop confidently and gives us the opportunity to truly understand their individual personalities before placement.

We believe responsible breeding means slowing down, paying attention, and doing what’s right for both the kittens and the families who welcome them home.

We offer Maine Coon kittens for sale through carefully planned litters with limited availability. Each kitten is evaluated individually for temperament and readiness before placement.

Availability is discussed directly with families, and reservations are handled through personal communication rather than automated systems.

Our VIP Waitlist is a paid, priority reservation process designed to support thoughtful, orderly kitten placement based on compatibility rather than speed.

The cost to join the VIP Waitlist is $250, which represents half of the $500 total deposit. All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable and are applied only toward the total purchase price of a kitten.

Deposits secure either:

• A place on the VIP Waitlist, or
• A specific kitten once selected

If you choose a kitten:

• The remaining $250 deposit is due
• The kitten contract must be signed
• Payment and contract must be completed within seven (7) days of the selection date

Failure to complete payment and contract within this timeframe will:

• Result in forfeiture of the kitten
• Cause the kitten to return to available status
• All deposits will remain non-refundable

After the VIP reservation process is completed, any kittens that remain unreserved may be made available to the public.

Public inquiries are reviewed individually and remain subject to placement standards.

Our VIP process exists to protect the well-being of our kittens and ensure successful, long-term placements. Families are encouraged to ask questions and communicate openly throughout the process.
